Presented by the host as an everyday quaffing wine but went down surprisingly well!   Pleasing bouquet with hints of cedar.  Low tannin but well-balanced, forest fruits, sophisticated, elegant & upfront.  Overall winner at13 points but no firsts.

Hint of petrol & mineral on the nose.  Smoother, drier & longer in the mouth than 7 but less meaty.  More like a Californian Primitivo (= Zinfandel) than 7.
