Greco di Tufo Cinsault Syrah 12.5% France - Languedoc IGP   Coteaux de Beziers Waitrose £9.99 Not much nose, maybe a bit farmyard and strawberries. Cleaner   and sharper than 1. Faded a bit in the mouth.

Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah 12.5% France Rhone Valley Co-op, Waitrose, Tesco £7.50 to £8.99 Metallic nose, soapy and something of the laundry basket. Hint   of lime on palate and lots of fresh fruit acidity.

100% Ribolla Gialla 12% Italy Friuli Venezia Giulia M&S ‘Found’ £7.00 Fresh and fragrant wine with mint and herbiness. More fresh   laundry than laundry basket. Best white Equal 3rd in 1-3 ranking

100% Furmint 11% Hungary Tokaj M&S ‘Found’ £8.00 Pale with lemon and pear nose. Pineapple on the tongue and a wee bit honey. Maybe lacks complexity.
7 Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt Riesling Dry

100% Riesling 11.5% Germany Mosel, Ruwer Co-op £12.00 Diesel nose and pear drops. Melon on the palate. Intense with strong acidity. Good with food and lovely with the dill and trout. 2nd
